Which side of the road should you walk on for safety?

Muscat: Pedestrians on the roads are advised to walk in the opposite direction of vehicles for their safety.

The General Directorate of Traffic said: “Pedestrians must walk on the sidewalks, and in the absence of sidewalks, they should walk on the left side of the road, in the opposite direction of oncoming vehicles."
