Oman's Health Minister meets family of organ donor

Muscat: H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, met recently the family of a person, whose organs were donated.

The Ministry of Health said: "The family of the deceased had submitted the organ donation request after his death was confirmed by the medical staff."

Two kidneys were transplanted to two children suffering from kidney failure.

The Minister also visited the two children before they were discharged from the hospital last week.

It is worth mentioning that organ donation requests can be accessed through the AI-Shifa program.
