Total lunar eclipse to occur today

Muscat: A total lunar eclipse will occur today, which will be visible from North America, South America, Africa, Europe, southern and western Asia as well as from some oceans.

"A total lunar eclipse will occur on Monday, May 16, 2022, and it will not be visible from the Sultanate of Oman. The eclipse will be seen in whole or in part in most of North America, South America, Africa, southern and western Europe, southern and western Asia, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and Antarctica," Astronomical Affairs Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) said in a statement.
