Expat arrested in Oman for murder

Muscat: An Asian national was murdered and his body dumped in a well, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has revealed.
“The perpetrator threw the body of the victim in an abandoned well in Wilayat of Mahdha to hide the crime,” a ROP officer said. Al Buraimi police, represented by the Department of Investigation and Criminal Investigation, revealed the details of Al Buraimi murder.
“A team was formed after a report on the disappearance of the victim on September 3. An Asian national was arrested on suspicion of the crime. When confronted with evidence and his relationship to the victim, the suspect confessed to the murder,” an official source in the ROP said.
“The accused guided the probe team to the well in which the suspect had dumped the body. The body bore stab wounds, from white weapons (knives),” the official added.
