​Man arrested for thefts from cars: Royal Oman Police

Muscat: A man in Buraimi has been arrested on robbery charges, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

According to an official source at ROP, "the accused committed four cases of theft from vehicles late at night, through search and investigation the suspect was arrested in action".

The Department of Investigation and Criminal Investigation, led by the police of Buraimi province, managed to arrest the citizen.

The accused was referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.

Last month, four Omanis were arrested for assaulting and robbing a petrol pump worker in Shinas. The accused entered the office of the worker, beat him and robbed him of more than OMR700.
