Muscat: Eighteen investment opportunities are to be revealed across the tourism and waste management sectors by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) on Sunday.
The event at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), will be sponsored by Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism. Joint efforts were made by the government and private sectors to identify the opportunities.
Among those who contributed to the identification are ASAAS (Muscat National Development and Investment Company), Omran (Oman Tourism Development Company) and Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (be’ah), following studies on investment opportunities and market feasibility.
The ministry aims to bring qualitative investments as part of the economic diversification plans, create the right environment for successful investment development, empower and stimulate private sector investment, contribute to increasing FDI and promote Oman as a promising investment destination.
These investment opportunities will be open through the ‘Invest in Oman’ platform, which was set up to showcase investment opportunities in the government and private sectors.
