25 people suffered injuries when a bus, which was travelling from Salalah to the capital, slammed into the side of a mountain and overturned.
In response, the Ministry of Health set into place its emergency evacuation plan, rushing people to the nearest hospital in Muscat, and the Department of Blood Banks Services has sent out messages asking for residents to answer the call for their urgent need for blood.
"Boshar Blood Bank invites you to donate blood today, where there is more than one case requiring blood transfusion," said the DBBS in a tweet.
To donate, please visit the Boshar Blood Bank at the earliest, or call 24591255 or 24594255. You can also WhatsApp the blood bank at 94555648.
