Rock collapse: Bodies of two more workers recovered

Muscat: The bodies of two workers were retrieved from the rubble following the rock collapse that occurred in the Wilayat of Ibri on Sunday, March 27, 2022, Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), said.

"With strenuous efforts at rock collapse site in Al Dhahirah Governorate and using heavy equipment, the rescue teams were able to retrieve the bodies of two people.Searches are still going on for six other people trapped under the rubble," CDAA said in a statement.

CDAA previously managed to retrieve six bodies and rescued five workers from the rubble.

The Inspector General of Police and Customs and a number of members of the National Committee for Emergency Management visited the site.
