Oman's Health Ministry issues guidelines to limit spread of Aedes aegypti mosquito

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued guidelines to limit the spread of Aedes aegypti mosquito.

According to MOH, we can limit the reproduction of the mosquito breeding by practicing the following:

1- Empty water containers and animals and birds drinking pots and clean them with a brush every five days.

 2- Get rid of collected water from the air conditioner and split units with regular changing of water in water coolers and other areas of water collection.

3- Change water in swimming pools, fountains and planting pots every five days.

4- Proper coverage of water tanks.

5- Get rid of old tyres, empty painting containers and spoiled house dishes.
