Muscat: Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones received today several honorary consuls of friendly countries in the Sultanate of Oman.
This meeting comes within the framework of the programme of the visit, which is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Sultanate of Oman’s honorary consuls.
During the meeting, different economic-related spheres and efforts were highlighted, including alternative energy and green hydrogen projects and enhancing cooperation. The economic and investment opportunities were discussed between the Sultanate of Oman and those countries.
Further, the consuls were briefed on the capabilities of the special economic zones and free zones in terms of infrastructure and speed in completing investors’ transactions through the one-stop-shop, which facilitates the transactions and accelerates issuing relevant permits for investment purposes.
The consuls commended the great efforts made by the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones to make these zones successful investment destinations. Accordingly, all zones will contribute to promoting economic diversification, providing job opportunities, developing local communities and encouraging entrepreneurs to establish their projects.
