Resident card expired? No worries until 1 September

Muscat: Fines related to the delays in renewal or issuance of work permits for expats in Oman will be waived until 1 September, provided the renewals are completed by then.

A statement issued online said the Ministry of Labour was “exempting companies and individuals from renewal penalties; provided that the renewal is completed before September 1st, 2022.”

The reduction in expat work visa fees that were slashed by more than 85 per cent will be applicable after June 1st, 2022.
