Muscat: Omani students have established the first e-mall in the Sultanate, that will transform real shops into e-shops within a large electronic mall called “Brawaz Mall”.
A group of students from Sultan Qaboos University founded the company “Brawaz”, meaning ‘browse’ which seeks to create a new trading environment that is easy for the commercial movement in the Sultanate.
It aims to eliminate the high rent burdens and weights of physical premises.
The app offers many features such as a service to deliver goods, a story to promote products daily, an option to communicate with customers and a bank transfer selection.
The idea is that owners of small and medium enterprises can rent and open an e-shop within the large electronic center by paying a simple monthly fare that is much less than the current market rents.
Mohammed Al Mawali, the CEO of “Brawaz” said: “We welcome all those who are motivated and ambitious to open their own shop in this application and to enter into a competitive and encouraging business environment for all.”
In order to launch this application, the company has begun marketing campaigns under the name of “Brawaz_your store”, which aim to market the idea of the application to the community and to attract stores to join in.
The company campaigned in Muscat Grand Mall and Souq Rashid in Al-Mabelah and intends to set up stations in other centres and commercial gatherings in the coming days.
