Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management, set up by the Royal Decree earlier this year, is currently developing the groundwork necessary to deliver on its principal mandate: to equip Omanis with world-class administrative skill sets necessary to assume leadership positions in both the public and private sectors.
This is in accordance with the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to develop human capital to help achieve various strategic national objectives set out in Oman Vision 2040.
To this end, the Royal Academy of Management has announced the launch of the ‘Train the Trainer’ programme derived from Developing Leaders and Future Foresight programme in partnership with the reputable University of Arizona (Eller Executive Education) will provide the initial impetus to the Academy’s efforts to build national capacities in line with the goals of Oman’s vision.
Dr Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, stated, "Train the Trainer’ programme is aimed at preparing certified Omani trainers in the techniques and methodologies of delivering leadership training programmes at various local, regional and international levels."
He added that the Academy will collaborate with the trainers at a later stage to deliver its future programmes under this segment.
He said the Academy will leverage its excellent relations with prominent international management training institutions to help develop a best-in-class curriculum backed by the use of modern, innovative and effective tools to become a leading global entity that is capable of absorbing and framing modern methodologies as per competitive and innovative fundamentals for the realisation of Oman’s vision.
He added that the programme has been designed to international standards. Successful graduates will not only be certified by the Royal Academy of Management but will also be part of the University of Arizona’s certified trainers' network in the region and the world.
Omani trainers certified in delivering leadership training programmes can view the terms and conditions via the website https://forms.ram.gov.om. Should they wish to apply, they must register between March 21 and April 4.
