Oman weather: Rain over mountains, clear skies over Muscat

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has forecast clear skies over the Sultanate today, while Al Hajar mountains may experience isolated rain and occasional thundershowers. Cloudy skies are expected along the coastal areas of Dhofar with intermittent drizzle.

Chances of early morning low-level cloud or fog patches will pepper the Arabian and Oman sea coast, and Al Buraimi set to be the warmest place in the country at 36 degrees, Masirah is cloudy at 26 and Salalah 25 with expected drizzle.

Sea winds predicted to be light to moderate during the day and night along the coastal areas of Oman, while along coastal areas of the Arabian Sea the winds will be moderate to light. The sea state in the Arabian Sea is expected to be rough compared to Oman and Musandam sea which is expected to be slight.
