Man held for minor’s abduction, assault in Oman

Muscat: A man has been arrested for kidnapping and allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in South Al Batinah, officials announced. The Royal Oman Police Department of Criminal Investigation in South Al Batinah has arrested a man, who was accused of kidnapping and assaulting a minor in Wilayat of Al Musan’aa.
The person admitted to the crimes attributed to him, according to a statement from the ROP. More than two weeks ago, a woman had escaped her kidnappers after jumping out of a third floor window.
Ruwi Police Station officials had arrested two Asian suspects in the case of an attempted kidnapping. An official source at ROP said the victim was kidnapped, and was transported in a car to an apartment in Ruwi.
According to ROP, the perpetrators had kidnapped the woman with the intention of raping her.
The woman managed to escape by breaking one of the windows in the apartment.
