Asian man arrested in Oman for murder in home country

Muscat: An Asian man has been arrested in Oman for committing murder in his home country, officials announced.
The Buraimi police arrested the man, working in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations department.
Police was informed that a person of Asian nationality is residing in a home at Wilayat Buraimi, who has a murder charge in his country.
He was arrested by the ROP and admitted to his crimes. He explained that he managed to leave his home country and enter another Gulf state, whose police authority had arrested him.
However, the individual managed to escape the Gulf country's police and entered the territory of the Sultanate of Oman illegally.
Through coordination with the Gulf country involved, the information was corroborated and the murder attempt was confirmed.
The ROP are also coordinating with the Gulf country to hand over the man to the related authorities.
