Muscat: Oman's Foreign Minister has held a session of consultations and talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania.
"Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign, held a session of consultations and talks today with Liberata Mulamula, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, during his visit to Zanzibar," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
During the meeting, they reviewed the historical relations linking the two friendly countries and ways of developing bilateral cooperation, economic and investment partnership, and enhancing cultural and scientific exchange for broader and more comprehensive horizons.
On the political level, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, affirmed their support for dialogue and peaceful means in resolving issues and conflicts in order to stabilise and sustain international peace and security.
The talks session was attended by the delegation accompanying Oman's Foreign Minister and a number of officials from the Tanzanian side.
