Agriculture Ministry to launch outlets for sale of Omani dates

Muscat: Marketing outlets for the sale of Omani dates will be launched in Muscat Mall from March 22 till March 29, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said.  

The Ministry added that those wishing to display and sell their products of Omani dates and their derivatives within the following categories: (date factories, dates packing and packaging units, household industries, and small and medium enterprises) must submit an application for participation through the following link: https://www.maf.gov.om/form,

Those who want to participate need to meet these requirements:

1- The participant must be Omani and work in the dates sector.

2- The participant must have a valid commercial record.

3- The participant must fill out the participation form and complete all the required data.

4- The Omani date products shall be presented in appropriate packages of different sizes, with all product data labelled on them in accordance with the Omani standard specifications for packages. Requests that do not meet the conditions and specifications will not be considered.

5- Undertaking and commitment to participate during the period from March 22-29 from 10 am to 10 pm for the establishment of marketing outlets. The seller must be Omani and is committed to the Omani dress.

6- The displayed or manufactured dates shall be from Omani dates harvested during the 2021 season and it must conform to the quality and standard specifications approved in the Sultanate.

7- Participants in the marketing outlets will be distributed in two batches. The duration of participation for each batch will be four days in the outlet.

8- Compliance with all laws, regulations and instructions regulating the work of the market management outlets, which were stipulated in the instructions for establishing and organising commercial and industrial exhibitions in the concerned authorities, such as adhering to the precautionary measures approved by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.
