Oman's Agriculture Ministry seizes expired fertilizers, pesticides

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has seized quantities of expired fertilisers and pesticides in Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate.

"The Agricultural Control Team in North Al Batinah Governorate continues the control and inspection campaigns on farms and agricultural shops. The campaigns come within the framework of periodic follow-up on farms and agricultural facilities, through which the team was able to seize quantities of expired fertilisers and pesticides in Sohar, which are used in agricultural operations, which has a negative impact on consumer health," the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said in a statement.
