Safety checkpoints set up on danger road in Oman

Muscat: Police have set up checkpoints to hand out awareness leaflets to drivers heading to Dhofar.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have created checkpoints along the Adam-Thumrait road, in the wake of a series of tragic accidents.
"The main target of those leaflets are those travelling to the Dhofar governorate. Policemen have been issuing advice to drivers, and wishing them a safe journey onward," a statement said.
