His Majesty issues seven Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said yesterday issued 7 Royal Decrees as follows: Royal Decree No. 30/2017 effects transfers and placements in the Diplomatic Corps.
Article (1) transfers the two ambassadors named below to the Diwan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:- Shaikh Humaid bin Ali bin Sultan Al Maani, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to France, and Hamid bin Said bin Salim Al Ibrahim, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Kuwait.
Article (2) appoints Shaikh Dr. Ghazi bin Said bin Abdullah Al Bahar Al Rowas as the Sultanate’s Ambassador to France.
Article (3) grants Dr. Adnan bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Ansari the title of Ambassador and appoints him as the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Kuwait, and grants Shaikh Al Abbas bin Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Harthy the title of Ambassador and appoints him as the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Malaysia.
Article (4) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 31/2017 appoints a Secretary General at the Office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Adviser.
Article (1) appoints Dr. Saleh bin Salim bin Hamoud Al Rahbi, as Secretary General of the Office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Adviser, at the Special Grade.
Royal Decree No. 32/2017 declares the project of setting up of Dyke G2 in Wadi Adei, Governorate of Muscat, as a public utility project.
Article (1) considers the project of setting up of Dyke G2 in Wadi Adei, Governorate of Muscat, as specified in the memo and diagram attached to this Decree, as a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the departments concerned may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along with all the installations therein, in accordance with provisions of the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 64/78.
Article (3) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 33/2017 issues the GCC Commercial Transactions Law after it had been presented before Oman Council (Majlis Oman).
Article (1) states that the provisions of the GCC Commercial Transactions Law (System), attached to this Decree, shall be applied.
Article (2) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
Royal Decree No. 34/2017 promulgates the Veterinarian Products Law after it had been presented before Oman Council (Majlis Oman).
Article (1) states that the provisions of the law attached to this Decree (Veterinarian Products Law) shall apply to veterinarian products.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
Royal Decree No. 35/2017 ratifies the amended protocol of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) after it had been presented before Majlis Al Shura.
Article (1) ratifies the aforementioned protocol in accordance with the version attached to this Decree.
Article (2) instructs the departments concerned to deposit the abovementioned protocol’s ratification document in accordance with the protocol’s provisions.
Article (3) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 36/2017 ratifies the amended World Trade Organisation’s Marrakech Agreement after it had been presented before Majlis Al Shura.
Article (1) ratifies the aforementioned protocol in accordance with the version attached to this Decree.
Article (2) instructs the departments concerned to deposit the abovementioned protocol’s ratification document in accordance with the protocol’s provisions.
Article (3) says that this Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
