Muscat: A truck accident caused the death of its driver and severe injury to his companion, and cut off traffic on the Aqabat Bausher Al-Amerat road in the Sultanate of Oman on Saturday.
Royal Oman Police said: "Traffic has been cut off on Aqabat Bausher Al-Amerat road due to a truck crash that led to the death of its driver and severe injury to his companion and damage to the utilities along with oil leakage. Work is underway to remove it and deal with the oil slick."
ROP has asked road users to take the alternate route until the work is done.
