ROP arrests 415 for illegal entry into Oman

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested 415 people for illegally entering the country.
ROP announced that 415 people are detained within police institutions around the Sultanate, for their illegal entry into Oman.
Legal proceedings are ongoing in order to deport the individuals back to their home countries.
According to statistics from the General Directorate of Operations, 57 of those individuals were arrested in the past week. Of them, 27 were arrested in Dhofar governorate, 12 in Buraimi, 11 in South Al Sharqiyah, 6 in North Batinah, and 1 person in Muscat.
Last week, the ROP deported 40 individuals of Asian and African nationalities who had illegally entered the country, after coordinating with their embassies.
