Muscat: Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) continued its participation in the international maritime exercise (IMX22) currently conducted in the Omani maritime area (Strait of Hormuz, Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea).
The Maritime Security Centre undertakes the command and control of IMX 22 of the second area.
A number of vessels from the Royal Navy of Oman and naval vessels from other friendly countries including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and South Korea are taking part in the IMX 22 with air support fromthe Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO)planes.
Commodore Tariq bin Isa Al Raisi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman accompanied by deputy chairman of the Maritime Security Centre paid a visit to the site of IMX 22 where they were briefed on the progress of the activities of the drill, the duties, responsibilities and roles of the vessels taking part in the drill.
They also got acquainted with the progress of the drill and methods of execution of the activities among other aspects.
