Muscat: Indian School Sohar students achieved excellent result in the CBSE-All India Senior School Certificate Examinations (AISSCE) 2016-17.
In the Science stream, out of 66 students who appeared in the examinations held in March - April 2017, over 25 per cent secured above 90 per cent. Raunak Srikant Mokhasi scored an aggregate of 95.8 per cent topped the school.
In the second position stood Kavya with 95.4 per cent followed by Shubh Agarwal who scored 95 per cent in the Science Stream. In Commerce Stream, Nidhi Dinesh Shanbhag scored 86.6 per cent and stood first.
Rashmi Govind achieved second position by scoring 86 per cent followed by Anagha Padmanabhan who scored 84.2 per cent and stood at third position.
In English, 33 students secured 95 per cent. In Informatics Practices, four students scored 99 per cent. In Chemistry 97 per cent, Mathematics 98 per cent, Physics five students secured 95 per cent whereas in Biology it is 97 per cent.
In Physical Education the highest score stood at 84 per cent. In Economics highest score is 92 per cent, Business Studies 92 per cent and in Accountancy and Entrepreneurship the highest scores are 84 per cent and 82 per cent respectively.
Out of 88 students enrolled for class XII CBSE Board Examination, 68 per cent secured 75 per cent and above.
Principal Sanchita Verma said that the excellent result is largely due to the deep commitment of students and support by their families and hard work of the teachers. President Abraham George and members of School Management Committee congratulated all Class XII students for their efforts.
