Muscat: Indian School Salalah students scored excellent marks in Class 12 CBSE board examinations.
The concerted effort put in by the management, principal, staff and students helped the students to come out with flying colours with top scores and distinctions.
In the Science stream, Imtiazuddin Gazi, Kanika Dilip Ashar and Anushka Srivastava topped the school with 476 marks (95.2%) followed by Fathima Yusra Imran Zaheerwith 473 marks (94.6%) and Dhiraj Kumar J P Kyumar with 472 marks (94.4%). In the Science Stream out of 71 students who appeared for the class 12 exam, 63 got distinction i.e. above 75%, and 8 students secured marks between 60% and 74%.
In the Commerce Stream, Nahan Naser topped with 453 marks (90.6%) followed by Jerusha Sheba Maben 449 marks (89.8%) and Nimra Kanwal Ahmed with 445 marks (89%). In the Commerce stream, out of 62 students, 16 students got distinction and 40 students secured marks between 60 and 74.
Fourteen students secured more than 90% aggregate. Eighty-Five per cent of the students got A grades in English.
The subject toppers are as follows: Cherie Kuriakose (96 in English), Apoorva Dinesh Singh (98 in Maths), SaadUllahZuberi (96 in Physics), KanikaDilipAshar and Fathima Yusra Imran Zaheer(98 in Chemistry), Anushka Srivastava (98 in Biology), NahanNaser and Deepika Raju Paraswani(95 in Economics), Jerusha Sheba Maben (98 in Business studies), NourinSathar (95 in Accountancy), NourinSathar (92 in Entrepreneurship), Anushka Srivastava(96 in Physical Education), Apoorva Dinesh Singh, SaadUllahZuberi and James Kaviyil Jose (95 in Computer Science), KanikaDilipAshar and Antra Sharma (98 in Informatics Practices) and SumairaKoushar (86 in Multimedia and Web technology).
The President of the School Management Committee, Dr. Debashish C Bhattacharya, other members of the SMC and the Principal T. R. Brown congratulated the students and the teachers for the excellent results.
