Hotel occupancy in Oman up 18 per cent in first quarter

Muscat: Occupancy of the three and four star hotel stood at to 65. 5 per cent at end of first quarter of 2017, an increase of 18. 3 per cent against the same quarter last year.
The total revenue stood at OMR57. 094 million a rise of 7. 2 per cent against the corresponding period of last year.
The statistics of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that the European hotel occupants formed a majority of occupants at end of March 2017 an increase of 29.7 per cent to reach 201, 882 occupants against 155, 684 by end of March 2016.
