Man, daughter drown in swimming mishap

Muscat: A citizen and his daughter drowned in a pond in a wadi in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate

Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said in a statement: "A citizen and his daughter drowned in a pond in a valley in the Wilayat of Bidbid, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. They were taken to hospital, but they died."

The authority urged citizens and residents not to swim in water bodies located in valleys.
