Muscat: Based on the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Council of Oman will begin its third annual session of the seventh period from Sunday.
The Council is convening in implementation of the provisions of Article (74) of the Basic Law of the State and in implementation of the provision of Article (38) of the Law of the Council of Oman.
The agenda of the first regular session of the third annual session of the seventh period, which will be held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of the honorable members of the Council and the Secretary-General, a number of items will be discussed, including an opening speech by Chairman of the Council, and a discussion on the study submitted by the Committee of Education and Research on "The Reality of Scientific Research in the Sultanate of Oman and the role of the public and private sectors and international companies in supporting and developing it".
