Jabal Shams challenge set to start in Oman

Muscat: Jabal Shams Challenge 2017 will be launched on 28th April with the aim of promoting for the Sultanate as a hub for adventure lovers and sportsmen from different parts of the world.
The challenge, which is being co-organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Husaak Team, will be held at the 3,000 square meters high Jabal Shams, the highest mountain top in the GCC region.
Participants from different age groups and nationalities will take part at the challenge.
Ali Hussein, Husaak Adventure Manager said that more than 200 took part at the last version of the challenge and hopefully the number of participants will be more for the upcoming edition.
He pointed out that the event aims at promoting the rich tourism potentials of the Sultanate, such as mountains, plains, beaches and deserts, which qualify the Sultanate to become a hub for sports and adventure activities.
