Children from across the world celebrate Children's Day in Oman

Muscat: Dozens of children of Omani, Turkish and other nationalities celebrated an event dedicated to the youth and value of sovereignty, hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey.

Those who celebrated the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, which falls on the April 23 every year, spent most of the day busy with activities and dance. This day is considered a public holiday in Turkey and North Cyprus.

H.E. Atılay Ersan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey invited children between the ages 6-12 living in Muscat with their traditional clothes to enjoy Children's Day celebrations and festivities.

“I hope that these memories of friendly atmosphere will contribute to a future of enhanced brotherhood and peace among nations,” the Ambassador said.
