Muscat: Dhofar University yet again added another feather in its cap by offering its students a chance to study different languages as university elective.
The languages being offered are French, Italian, Mandarin and Hindi. HE Manu Mahawar, the ambassador of India to Oman along with Prof Hassan Kashoob, Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University formally launched the Hindi language course in Dhofar University.
The Indian ambassador lauded the great effort of the university and the government of Oman for providing the opportunity to students to study the Hindi language.
He thanked the vice chancellor and assured that through Indian Council for Cultural Relations a Hindi Chair shall be sponsored by the government of India very soon.
Prof Hassan Kashoob, thanked the visiting dignitary for visiting the university and offering all assistance in this academic initiative.
