Muscat: Oman has participated in the 37th meeting of the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in the Union of Arab Chambers in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) said in a statement: "Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by His Excellency Eng Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the 37th meeting of the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in the Union of Arab Chambers in Cairo."
The meeting discussed entrepreneurship and small projects, the path towards sustainable development and empowerment, as well as a report on the achievements of the Arab Labour Organisation during 2019 and 2020.
The meeting also discussed the impact of technological development on the work environment, the requirements of the green economy to provide job opportunities and discussing the location and agenda of the 48th session of the Arab Labour Conference.
