Ahlibank re-elects chairman

Muscat: New members were elected to the Board of Directors of Ahli Bank during the annual general meeting (AGM), which was held recently at the Grand Hyatt Muscat.
The new list of board members comprising shareholders and non-shareholders was approved by shareholders at the AGM.
Hamdan Ali Nasser Al Hinai was re-elected as chairman of the bank. Adel Mohamed Abdelshafe El Labban was re-elected the first deputy chairman and Anwar Hilal Hamdoon Al Jabri the second deputy chairman.
Sanjeev Baijal, Keith Henry Gale, Mustafa Shafqat Anwar, Rashad Khamis Hamed Al Battashi and Khalid Ali Saif Al Yahmadi are the other members, who were elected to the board.
“We are fortunate to have highly qualified and experienced individuals as members of our board. We are excited that this group will work together to ensure the success of the bank,” said Chairman Al Hinai.
During the AGM, which was presided over by Al Hinai, the shareholders approved the Board of Directors’ report, the corporate governance report, auditor’s report and audited financial statement of the bank for the financial year ended on December 31, 2016.
