2 citizens drown in Sohar dam

Muscat: Two citizens drowned in a dam in Sohar. Following the incident, the rescue teams have urged people to avoid swimming in undesignated spots.

Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said: "Rescue teams at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in North Al Batinah Governorate responded to the drowning of two citizens in Wadi Al-Khad Dam in the Wilayat of Sohar, where their bodies were pulled out."

The authority calls on citizens and residents not to swim in unspecified places, in order to avoid tragic drowning accidents.
