Oman Tennis: Fatma Al Nabhani moves into doubles quarters in Tunisia

Muscat: Omani ace Fatma Al Nabhani moved into the quarterfinals of the doubles competition in the $15,000 ITF Women’s Circuit Hammamet Open tournament in Tunisia on Tuesday.
In a first round match, Fatma and her Italian partner Gaia Sanesi combined well to defeat Chile’s Fernanda Brita and Federica Prati of Italy 6-3, 6-2.
In the quarterfinals, Fatma and Gaia will await the winners of the match between top-seeded Russians Lazareva Margarita and Maria Marfutina and Yulia Kulikova of Russia and Lulu Radovcic of Switzerland.
Fatma will begin her singles campaign on Wednesday when the Omani fifth seed takes on Italy’s Giorgia Marchetti.
