Over 13,000 transport vehicle operating cards issued this year in Oman

Muscat: Over 13,000 land transport vehicle operating cards have been issued by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology during the first six months of 2021.

The Ministry issued through the national platform for land transport services "Naql" during the first half of this year, 13,944 land transport vehicle operating cards and 139 exceptional cargo transport permits. The Ministry also approved 413 licenses for land transport activities through the Invest Easy system," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

The Naql platform allows beneficiaries to issue and renew transportation registration cards, issue taxi licenses, and issue permits for exceptional cargo. The platform is linked to the vehicle registration systems of the Royal Oman Police, and Invest Easy at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion to verify the details of land transportation vehicles and its licensed activities for individuals or institutions.
