Reports of closure of Dhofar, Masirah a rumour: Government

Muscat: The Government has rubbished as rumours, an image being shared that stated that the governorates of Dhofar and Masirah had been closed, on orders of the Supreme Committee to deal with Covid-19.

In a tweet, the official OmanVSCovid19 handle of the government dismissed an image being circulated as a new order by the Supreme Committee as fake and said that the image dated back to 2020 and that no new instructions to this effect had been issued.

The image was manipulated to show a more recent date.
