Nearly 400 Indians died of COVID-19 in Oman

Muscat: Nearly 400 Indian nationals in Oman have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to figures released by the Indian government.

384 Indians in the country succumbed to the disease, reported India’s Rajya Sabha (upper house), in response to a question by PV Abdul Wahab, a Member of Parliament.

All six GCC countries are at the top of the list of Indians who have perished from the virus, with figures sourced from Indian missions and posts overseas, and made public by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

1,154 Indians died from COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia, 894 in the United Arab Emirates, 546 in Kuwait, 196 in Bahrain and 104 in Qatar.
