3D concrete printing facility opens in Oman

Muscat: Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Innotech, and Galfar Engineering and Contracting opened a 3D Concrete Printing Facility in Ghala Industrial Area.

"The facility is established based on the Memorandum of Collaboration signed in May for the research and development of 3D concrete printing technology to enhance In Country Value (ICV) and private sector partnership," PDO said in a statement.

This is a step to catalyse change in the construction sector, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional construction methods. This technology will also speed up the construction process, reduce waste and empower skilled Omanis. 

The company is supporting this initiative by providing technical expertise, opportunity identification and project management services.
