Muscat: All medical staff, care givers and their families are exempt from the mandatory institutional quarantine, the CAA has announced.
Based on the decision made by the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19 issued on 16 July 2021, and in coordination with the Medical Response and Public Health Sector, the Civil Aviation Authority has informed all airlines operating in Oman that has been decided the following:
-The Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam are removed from the list of countries from which entry of arrivals to Oman is forbidden, effective from 5 pm on Monday.
-The amended list of countries from which arrivals are prohibited includes: The Republic of Sudan, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Siem Leone, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, the Republic of India, the Islamic Repubic of Pakistan, the Republic of Bangladesh, the Republic of the Philippines, the Kingdom of Thailand, Malaysia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tunisia, the State of Libya, the Argentine Republic, and the Republic of Colombia
-Those who have passed through any of these countries 14 days prior requesting to enter Oman will also be prohibited from doing so
-Omani citizens, diplomats, healthcare workers and their families are exempt from the restrictions of arriving from these countries, subject to the approval on arrival
-With immediate effect, all medical and medical assistance categories (including all healthcare providers working in the public and private sector and their families are exempt from mandatory institutional quarantine on arrival to Oman. They are required to home quarantine and wear an electronic tracking bracelet
