Craftspersons honoured on Omani Crafts Day

Muscat: On the occasion of Omani Crafts Day a craft industries exhibition of heritage, furniture and décor items was opened.
Represented by the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI), the Sultanate celebrated at Grand Mall-Muscat, the 14th Omani Crafts Day (OCD) under the auspices of Dr. Rawiya bint Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of Higher Education in the presence of Sheikha Aisha bint Khalfan Al Siyabiyah, chairperson of the Public Authority for Craft Industries, a number of minister and undersecretaries.
The celebration comprised the opening of the craft industries exhibition with items on display covering home and office furniture, hotel furniture, décor and accessories, some heritage items ( swords, daggers etc).
During the celebration, Dr. Rawiya honoured a number of Omani craftspersons who won awards for craft excel in the World Crafts Council (WCC) competition.
