Authority to probe into Dhofar's power outage

Muscat: The Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), has decided to conduct an investigation to find out the causes of the electricity outage in Dhofar Governorate.

A statement issued online by the authority said: "After following up on the events related to the power outage in the Governorate of Dhofar on Tuesday and reviewing the initial reports, the authority decided to conduct a comprehensive investigation to find out the main causes leading to the outage and evaluate the procedures of the licensed companies and speed of their response to restore service to subscribers."

"The authority will publish the details after the investigation is completed," added the statement.
