Registration process for General Education Diploma ends

Muscat: The Higher Education Admission Centre ended the registration process for the General Education Diploma.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The Higher Education Admission Centre of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation ended the registration phase in the Ministry's higher education admission system, which lasted for two months, starting from 1 May to 1 July, 2021."

Dr Hamad Bin Khalfan Al Noa'mani, Director General of the Higher Education Admission Centre at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, said in a statement to ONA that the number of students registered in the higher education admission system for the General Education Diploma and its equivalent for the academic year 2020/2021 reached 44,779, of which 23,040 were males and 21,739 females. 39,865 male and female students selected their desired study programmes.
