Oman weather: Rain falls in Rustaq, wadis overflow

Muscat: Heavy rain fell in Rustaq and surrounding areas leading wadis to overflow, a weather enthusiast said.
“Rains fell in the afternoon. Wadis are overflowing. Traffic movement is affected in many parts,” Bader Ali Al Baddaei, an administrator of www.rthmc.net, a local web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman, told the Times of Oman.
Earlier in the day, the Oman Meteorology department has predicted chances of scattered rain with thundershower, hail and wind over Mussandam and Hajar mountains extending to sea coasts of Oman.
“Oman will be hit by poor visibility during thundershowers and fog patches,” the meteorology department has said in an advisory.
