Oman, Egypt discuss cooperation in oil and gas sectors

Cairo: Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate's ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League has met with Tarek  El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The meeting reviewed ways of further enhancement of cooperation between the Sultanate and the Arab Republic of Egypt in the fields of energy and oil within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries.

The ambassador said that the meeting held at the premises of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has discussed horizons of joint cooperation and investment opportunities in the fields of oil and gas between the Sultanate and Egypt.

The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the Sultanate in the various economic fields and the investment opportunities announced by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the fields of oil and gas and associated industries, he said.

The meeting also reviewed the investment environment in the Sultanate and the facilities and incentives for attraction of further investment, he added.
