Minister inspects housing and urban planning projects in Saudi and Qatar

Muscat: Dr Khalfan bin Said Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning concluded his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar.

During the visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr Al Shuaili met with a number of ministers and officials  at the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing; The General Authority for State Property and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON).

During his visit to Qatar, the Minister met with the prime minister, the Minister of Interior and a number of ministers and heads of the government and private authorities and institutions and officials at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs; the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; the Ministry of Municipality and Environment; the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Public Works Authority and Qatar Investment Authority.   

The Minister has toured a number of projects and sites concerned with housing and urban planning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The officials in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar praised the Sultanate’s expertise in the fields of housing and urban planning and the achievements Oman has bagged in housing projects and town planning programmes.
