Power outage reported in several parts of Oman

Muscat: Over 40 electricity poles have been affected in a number of areas in Al Dhahirah Governorate as a result of the damage caused by Saturday's storm.

Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company Diam said: "We would like to inform the valued subscribers of the presence of a power outage in the wells feeding the water networks in the wilayats of Ibri and Yanqul in Al Dhahirah Governorate, due to yesterday's storm that affected 24 electricity poles.

"The water supply is expected to be effective within the next 48 hours. The company apologises to the valued subscribers for this interruption and calls on them to take the necessary precautions and to rationalise consumption as much as possible,"  Diam added.
