Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), has dealt with more than 300 drowning reports in 2020.
The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority clarified that the Authority's water rescue teams has dealt with 361 reports in 2020, compared to 369 in 2019.
The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority, represented by water rescue teams, deals with reports of drowning incidents in valleys, dams, water ponds, swimming pools, beaches and water springs, the most important of which is due to non-compliance with public safety rules.
The authority calls on citizens, residents, and visitors to adhere to and follow the instructions to avoid drowning accidents, such as swimming in allocated areas, observing children while swimming or approaching water, and adhering to warning regulations.
