Muscat: Oman recorded a decrease in oil production by 7.9 per cent during the month of April, while it witnessed an increase in natural gas production by 6.9 per cent during the same month.
Oman News Agency said: "The Sultanate recorded a decrease in oil production by the end of April 2021 by 7.9 per cent, to reach about 114, 336 for 100 barrels, compared to the same period in 2020."
The data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information revealed that total oil exports decreased by 3.3 per cent by the end of April 2021, to reach about 93,369,000 barrels. China topped the countries that import most Omani oil by the end of April 2021, importing about 79,316,200 barrels.
In addition, an increase was recorded in the total domestic production of natural gas, plus imports, by the end of April 2021, by 6.9 per cent, to reach 15 million and 656 thousand cubic meters, ONA announced.
